Yesterday we went on a game drive inside the Ngorongoro crater. We witnessed part of the great migration, which happens because of the dry season. We saw so many animals there, mainly wildebeast, cape buffalo, zebra, and Thomsons' gazelle. There were also other less common animals like male and female lions, elephants, hippos, and rhinos. Some of them like the hippos and rhinos we couldn't get that close to, but the elephants and lions we got really close to. About 10 feet away from each. I took actual distance shots to show how close we were. The first ones you see seem really exciting but then you realize how many there really are like with the zebras, wildebeast, and buffalo. We saw 4 out of the big 5 the first day. The big 5 are rhino, leopard, elephant, cape buffalo, and lion. We are still hoping to see leopards and cheetahs.
